Clothes

I admit that I have a slight love affair with clothes. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed (this is my blog...my opinion!) but I appreciate the art in clothing. One slight problem with not having a job: I can't justify buying anything. Each fall I have relished being able to go out and treat myself to a couple things for the start of the school year and cooling of the season. Luckily, neither of those things apply too much right now--no start of the school year (for the first time since I was 5, with the exception of one year between college & grad school...whew!) & the weather's been unbelievable. But, I digress...no paycheck means no treat. I've been taking little glimpses of websites like Anthropologie, JCrew & Etsy that have clothing & accessories with an artistic flare...and then reminding myself that someday I will have a job and I did, after all, just experience a summer where I didn't miss the "stuff" of home! BUT there is a silver lining! I have a sister who wears cute clothes. For the first time in many many years we just amicably swapped clothing. If my mom reads this, she may throw her arms up in the air and shout "hallelujah--there is a God!"
